Eton 7-212/C8/32 Hexacone Symphony II 7″ Woofer

This is the latest version of the well known Eton Hexacone woofers.  The 3 layer Hexacone is nicely detailed, yet warm sounding.  Most drivers can’t provide both detail and warmth, but the Hexacones always have fast and detailed reproduction, authentic staging and uncolored sound.

The 7-212 has good specs for a vented enclosure.  There are a wide range of box volumes this woofer will work in with some sugggestions provided below.  The extended top end will make this an easy choice for a 2-way.  Eton drivers are known for their detail and warmth.

0.2 cubic foot sealed with 20% filling for f3 of 93Hz and f6 of 70Hz

0.35 cubic foot vented with 1.5″ diameter vent by 5″ long and 20% filling for f3 of 58Hz
0.4 cubic foot vented with 1.5″ diameter vent by 5″ long and 20% filling for f3 of 57Hz
0.45 cubic foot vented with 2″ diameter vent by 7″ long and 20% filling for f3 of 52Hz
0.5 cubic foot vented with 2″ diameter vent by 7″ long and 20% filling for f3 of 50Hz
